Jennifer Lopez rocks A Red Bikini And A Personalised Robe in 2021

If you’re unsure what mood to adopt into 2021, perhaps take inspiration from the eternal bringer of good vibes: Jennifer Lopez.

On Monday (January 4) the 51-year-old shared how she is welcoming in the new year. And, in true J-Lo fashion, it involved a bikini and some personalised Versace-esque accessories.

Wearing her hair in all its natural shag glory, Lopez was filmed at the beach wearing oversized silver hoop earrings and a red bikini with a Versace-printed robe that spells out ‘J-Lo’ in diamond encrusted letters. The singer absorbed the warm weather at the beach location before appearing to perform some salutations and affirmations to the sun and ocean.

‘#Meditation and #affirmations,’ Lopez captioned the video which was accompanied by Drake and Future’s song, ‘Life Is Good’.

Lopez hit the beach for some R&R days after she performed live in New York City’s Times Square on New Year’s Eve, with her children and fiancé Alex Rodriguez standing by her side during the countdown to 2021.

At the end of last year, Lopez reflected on the struggles 2020 had brought. While she began the year on the awards circuit for her critically acclaimed performance in Hustlers, and headlining the Super Bowl with Shakira, just like everyone else Lopez’s plans (including wedding plans with Rodriguez) were halted.

Accepting the People’s Choice Award for ‘People’s Icon’ in November, Lopez said: ‘2020 was no joke, right? I mean before 2020, we were obsessing about winning this award, getting nominated for that award. We were caught up on who sold the most records or who had the biggest box office opening or crazy stuff like did we get the latest drop of the latest sneakers before everybody else. But not this year.

‘This year was the great leveller. It showed us what mattered, what didn’t, and for me, reinforced what matters most: people. All of us. Together, helping each other, loving each other, being kind to each other.’

Amen to that, J-Lo.
